I’ve been trying to complete my collection of Interweave Knits Magazine and was having a heck of a time getting the Spring 2004 issue. I’ve been watching it go for $20+ on eBay since it’s out of print and no longer available from Interweave Press. I found my copy today at one of my LYS, Slipt Stitch in El Segundo, for about the cover price.

I’m trying to build my Starmore library (hah!) as well. Wish me luck.

Thanks to C.J. for the lovely stitch markers! Check out her site, she’s doing a swap for stitch markers.

For those of you concerned about Tonka, he’s doing okay. Not great, but okay. Still feisty, talkative and demanding, but so very thin. At least he’s not vomiting and he seems comfortable. His birthday is next month and he’ll be 16, which is quite good for a cat; he’ll not make it to the early 20s like some cats I’ve seen, but he’s had a longer life than most.

I’ve been doing Weight Watchers and started off great; then the vacation to Belize, which, though it involved a ton of diving, also involved a ton of eating and imbibing pina coladas, then the trip to Monterey last weekend (well, I haven’t weighed in this week, but I’m not going to get too optimistic though I’ve been doing okay the rest of this week except I can’t exercise because I did something to my back and can you tell I’m annoyed??). On a similar note (self-improvement) (or is it torture?) I’ve signed up for my first tri, the Danskin sprint tri for Los Angeles this June.

Anyone know of any good yarn stores in Sedona Arizona? I’m going on a girl’s trip to Sedona mid-May with friends from vet school. (Dave gets to babysit the critters.)

For those curious about the tea, I did win the Czech teapot (and it’s lovelier than pictured), the tidbit tray/ tiered plate thingy (and it’s much prettier than expected too!) and the Reed and Barton demitasse spoons. (And yes, I’ll be saving up ‘points’ so I can indulge in my tea!)
