The Scuba Show was good — Dave and I whipped through it quickly but I did get to see some old friends from the LA County Advanced Diver Program. I also confused the hell out of a lot of people who’d been speakers from our class last year — “Hi! you spoke to us last year!” — who had no idea who the hell I was. I bought a few things — we’re pretty set up gear-wise so no need for anything major, but I bought the Monterey County diving book, a long, cozy nylon fleece-lined jacket for boat dives (gonna get my patches sewn on! and no, we’re not talking high fashion, just warmth and comfort), and some cute batik turtle shorts from Rum Reggae.

A while back I was asked about bread recipes: I modify/use the recipes in The Bread Lover’s Bread Machine Cookbook
by Beth Hensperger
. Awesome book. I have a bread machine from Williams-Sonoma that’s performed quite well — no complaints. (I’ve also made pizza dough and various quick breads that have come out great.)

As noted I’ve received the Level 1 TKGA instructions. I’m holding off starting in order to finish Perugino, Pinup Girl, and Mom’s Angora.
