good about starting projects, but…..

Why am I so good about starting projects, and rotten at finishing them?

So good at the initial planning, plotting, etc? So good at organizing?

But so bad about following through?

Is it that I get bored? frustrated? That I am flighty, easily seduced by new projects?

I used to think that setting deadlines (like joining knitalongs, making presents, Knitting Olympics, etc) would kick my butt into gear. That works for things that scare me (usually). Obviously knitting doesn’t scare me enough. And it’s not just a simple lack of discipline.

I’m the same with starting and not following thru… I think there’s just too much good stuff out there 🙂 At least that’s a somewhat good reason– too many good things 🙂

I think it is a mutual ‘obsessive compulsive’ disorder that knitters have. Too many projects…too little time…let me just see what this yarn looks like in this pattern…..
