Marathon knitting and finishing….and it’s done and mailed today at lunch.
This was okay to knit and made me a devout believer in blocking — finishing/seaming it would’ve been nightmarish had I not blocked it.
Having said that, I really prefer in the round, top down: no major finishing and you can try it on as you go and make any necessary adjustments.
This should fit my mom fine — she’s longer-waisted than I am — but the waist shaping hits too low on me, for example. I’m just not familiar enough with altering things to fit my personal measurements to be able to do so just from the schematics (well, the fact I’m bad about swatching is the most critical part of that, I’m sure).
Needless to say mailing it has rid me of a ton of stress.
