Verbena! very pretty.
We’re going to have so many poppies this year, I’m excited. I’ve also realized how much the plants have grown — I’ve had to move their little name-signs out from underneath them.

Every time I actually start physically digging through my yarn stash I’m amazed how much lovely yarn I have. This is not to brag. It is fact. I’m sure many of you out there have stashes that far surpass mine.

Knit Visualizer Chart

This is the middle motif for both the front and back of the sweater. The twists are actually all done through the back loop too. There may be a special cable/twist designation for twisted stitches, but since this works for me, I’m happy with it.

Brief inauguration thoughts then back to regular life….

Yesterday I wasn’t booked for relief so I was able to watch some of the inauguration events. Wow. Multiple teary-eyed moments. I’m so impressed by the graciousness, strength, kindness and intelligence of President Obama.
It’s a good feeling to be proud, rather than ashamed, of our country’s leadership.

Back home in Hermosa

Last post I was in New Mexico. We were home a few days (during which I taught the first meeting of the sweater class and worked one day at my ‘real’l job) then we flew to Austin, Texas to visit my parents (who actually live in Kyle, just south of Austin). Flew back today.
