St Brigid Update

So loving this!  I’m about halfway done with the body of the sweater.  I’ve done some decreases within the double moss area (I expect this is going to nearly go to nothing before I start increasing again) and it’s fitting well, just skimming my body.  I’ll add some pics tonight or tomorrow.  In the back of my mind I was hoping to have it finished before we go on Spring Break (leaving this coming Saturday a.m.) but that is obviously not happening.  It’ll be coming with me, of course.

Regarding Spring Break, we’re going to Sebastopol, Mendocino and, on the way back, Carmel.  Any fiber-y or yarnish or other suggestions?  We’re planning on wine tasting, hiking, bicycling, beachcombing, running, & relaxing (which of course includes knitting).

I sold a skein of Sundara sock yarn and my copy of In the Hebrides to fund a purchase of Machair in 3 ply for Fern and Storm Petrel in 3 ply for a sweater for Dave.  Unfortunately I missed the British pound at its lowest, but still the exchange rate is pretty good.  I know I swore to not buy more yarn, but between the exchange rate being good, and some of the Virtual Yarns colorways apparently going out of stock & not being replaced, I couldn’t resist.

Hi Steph, thank you stopping by my “br-ogging.” 😉
This is the first I’ve seen of either Alice Starmore or Virtual Yarn. There is something extremely Romantic about both the pattern and the yarn you chose. Definitely a stash addition not to pass up!
Looking forward to seeing and reading about your road trip 😉 Sounds like it will be heavenly.
