New Project: Backyard Mini-Meadow

Here’s a pic of my Dad’s Day Socks (delivered Monday!) (but me modeling):

I’m currently working on socks for Curtis.  Here’s a pic of the (messed up) Knit Visualizer chart:

The fault was mine, not the program’s.  Can you find the mistake(s)?  It has to do with mirroring part of the pattern and not adjusting things afterwards.

Lawnless Yard

On blocking socks

Until Rivendell I’d never bothered to block my socks.   No need.  They look good when you pull them on & they stretch out over your feet and legs.
However, as a sample for Gwen of Craft’s Meow, Rivendell needed to look good OFF a foot.  Thus, it needed to be blocked.

Oak Grove Pearl Sox in Desert Shade
Knit Picks size 1 (eventually went to Magic Loop at the end)
I like the pattern, I really like the gusset (Kiila is the word for gusset), but the foot is a bit tight and my Russian bind off a bit loose. But they’re pretty, nonetheless.
