I planted all the plants, laid out all the flagstones, spread a layer of DG, and dumped in all that gravel, all before noon. You can see in progress pics at the Backyard Mini Meadow set. I know it doesn’t look much like a meadow, but it will when the grasses and other plants grow.
Yesterday afternoon Dave painted the steps a pretty purple that seems to glow, especially against the gravel and blue wall.
We still need to do the fountain and the side of the steps (not pictured). I think we’re going to have to do a bit of a retaining thing on the side. I didn’t realize how much the yard sloped. We’re also going to put in some decorative/larger rocks as well.
