….being sock pic models.
Also, a very belated thanks to Patricia and to Judy! I won contests at both of their sites.
Patricia at Tangletale sent me a beautiful bag she made, as well as yarn and stitchmarkers (you can see them here). The bag is reversible and is exquisitely crafted. I can’t sew a straight [...]

…the violence of the lambs….Black Sheep!
Weresheep? There sheep! 40 million of them. And they’re hungry.

Yesterday I yanked out the remaining tomato, sunberry and tomatillo plants from the Earthboxes. I added a bit more soil & some organic fertilizer & tossed in some seeds: carrots, turnips, radishes, lots of mesclun & arugula, and three different types of kale (I love kale! hate chard, love kale.) I also planted some fava [...]

First, congrats to Amanda! I’ve sent you an email.
Regarding some of the comments:
I actually, um, like to declutter. And I can be ruthless. Our house is small, so everything needs to be in its place, or else it’d be total chaos. Freecycle, Goodwill or other charities & Craigslist are great if you want to give [...]

I have no clue what happened to September. It’s gone. Even here in SoCal the mornings are finally a bit cooler. I was still in a t-shirt and shorts for Rigel’s 6 a.m. walk, but the 68 degrees house temperature felt toasty and welcoming when we got back.
September, other than finishing up some sock WIPs [...]
