This has been a big week!

As posted previously, the Sanguine Gryphon Steampunk collection (including Emily and Zylphia) went live this week.  Check it out if you haven’t yet.

I actually did meet the stated goals of finishing the Classic Elite fingerless mitts and the Fresh Designs hat this past weekend.  Those items went off in the mail this week.  I wish I could post pics, but I can’t until the patterns are released.

However….the mitts are lacy fingerless mitts, knitted in Classic Elite Wool Bam Boo, in a very pretty periwinkle color.  They’re a one skein project and knit up quickly.

The hat has panels of gradually decreasing honeycomb cables, bordered by columns of seed stitch/broken ribbing, and is knit in Spirit Trail Fiberworks Lyra, a luscious blend of alpaca, silk and merino, in a muted blue grey green colorway.

I’ve been working on the Raven mitts (stranded knitting at a TINY gauge, 10 sts/in) and have just finished the waste yarn bit to separate the thumb.  They actually aren’t that slow of going, it just takes good lighting and a bit of concentration.

The Pippin vest has seen a good bit of progress this week.  I’ve finished the top stockinette portion and am in the midst of the waist decreases in the ribbing and twisted stitch portion.  This design has morphed into a top down, v neck vest with saddle shoulder straps.

I haven’t received the yarn for the Jack sweater for Sanguine Gryphon yet — I’m hoping to get that next week.

So….weekend goals….finish one Raven mitt, get to main portion of hand on the second, finish waist decreases & work even portion of Pippin.
