Yet another contest!

First, congrats to lucky #13, theknittingaunt; #7, Kristen; and #9, Penny Powell!  You all won a Winter Knitcircus pattern collection.  I’ve emailed the download link to all of you.

I’ve been very lucky in winning blog contests, so I’m very happy when I get the opportunity to hold contests for all of you who read the blog.

Such is the case with this contest.  I recently won a contest for a gift certificate to CSN stores (I got a soup ladle and cereal/soup bowls — I know that’s dreadfully unsexy but with the rate of attrition for breakables in our house, we needed some bowls).

Anyways, it also resulted in me being able to run a contest for a $35 gift certificate for any of the CSN stores. You can get housewares like I did, or a variety of other stuff including a counter stool for your bar or kitchen.  They ship to the US & Canada;  if you do live elsewhere, be aware that extra shipping charges will apply.

Regardless, leave on comment on this post with the name of your favorite holiday movie by Sunday December 5th midnight PST. Make sure you leave a way for me to contact you.

My favorite holiday movies include Love Actually & Die Hard (hey!  it’s a Christmas party! and it has Alan Rickman!  Yippee kay yay!).  Elf is cute, too.

If you don’t have a favorite holiday movie, your fave movie is fine.

As sappy as it is, I love “It’s a Wonderful Life”. The DH loves Christmas Story though. I keep threatening to get him a “special award” lamp!

OMG- I was actually going to say it was a tie between Love Actually and Die Hard!
But in addition I’ll add A Christmas Story. I laugh every year when I watch that movie.

It’s not really a holiday movie but my family always watched it at christmas time… the story is long as to why.

Our holiday movie tradition is Oliver the musical. LOL!

  • Alexis Hayman December 2, 2010, 10:58 am

Definitely “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” or “A Christmas Story.” These might change as my boyfriend and I spend more holidays together and he introduces me to his favorites that I’ve never seen!

My favorite holiday movie has to be “A Christmas Story” it is such a horribly odd movie but I use to watch it on tv, all day when they would play it on repeat.

I think I’m going to have to go with a “classic:” _A Christmas Story_. I love that movie.
