…in a few days to New York for the New York State Sheep and Wool festival AKA RHINEBECK!  Woot!

Did you guys see the sneak preview of a couple of the patterns from the book over at Cooperative Press?  Shannon’s putting together a preview for Rhinebeck to have at the Cooperative Press booth (building C). I’ll be bringing some samples to show off at the booth.

Also…I’m going to be a square in Rhinebeck bingo (more info here)!  Come find me.  :)  I’ll be around the Cooperative Press booth or otherwise just getting overwhelmed by the sheepy fabulousness of Rhinebeck.  I’m hoping for sunny but crisp weather, one of those gorgeous autumn weekends I remember from being a cadet at West Point, so I can wear my new sweaters — one of them being the red cardi.

So what is going on with the book?

There are still a few projects to be finished & photographed.   All but one pattern has been turned in.  I still have to do some writing (mostly about the California Revival style & why I chose it as my inpiration).  Lots of things, to pull it all together.

Then I’m planning a bunch of supporting things:  blog tour (if you’re interested in being a stop, please email me or leave a comment), KALs, giveaways, yarn company/ indie dyer interviews, LYS visits, etc.

Hmm…how’s this for a quick contest…..let me know your favorite LYS (include a website if there’s one) that you think I should visit & why, by commenting on this post, by Tuesday the 18th, midnight PST.  I’ll use Random.org to pick 3 winners, your choice of any of my single patterns in my Rav shop — I’ll send you a coupon code.  So be sure to leave me a way to contact you!
