Yep, it’s that time of the year, when our thoughts turn to …. gift knitting!  Whether it’s a gift for a loved one (or yourself!) this is the time we start contemplating our stash, our pattern & book library, and the number of days left that you have to knit, oh, twenty odd gifts (well, hopefully less, but sometimes more!).

In general, you’ll be thinking small objects:  hats, socks (but not fingering weight, those have a deceptively large number of stitches), cowls, shawlettes, and ….. mittens!

Full mittens, fingerless mittens, either is fine:  the key is something that is useful, beautiful, fun to knit, and quick.  A good work to glory ratio is desirable.  I will humbly state that I think many of my mitten patterns do have a good work to glory ratio.

On that note….here’s the giveaway details.

Three people will win their choice of mittens pattern offered in my Ravelry store, including the Mittens! eBook.

What do you need to do?  Sorry, this is going to be a bit more involved than my normal ‘leave a comment posts’.  I do need you to leave a comment on this post, telling me if you’re going to be knitting any holiday gifts this year & if so, approximately how many.   If you sign up for my mailing list (right sidebar), leave a second post stating that you did.  Ditto for a third chance:  tweet about this & let me know via a comment on this post.

So, three chances to win.  I’ll check in with Random.org after midnight PST November 15th to pick the winners.  Leave me a way to contact you!

And here’s another teaser pic from my upcoming book, California Revival Knits.  These are the full Quatrefoil mitts, worked in Impulse of Delight BFL.  The colors are incredible and the yarn is fantastic to work with!
