I found it when I was gathering ideas for our yard. I live in SoCal, too, and we're ditching the law for natives also. I wish I had seen your blog a month earlier when we were in the planning stage. A native landscape designer did the plans for us. The grass is dead and we're ready to place rocks, boulders, then the plants in a few weeks. I'm enjoying all your yard pics and the different stages of growth. Can't wait to see how ours turns out. Thank you for sharing, Julie I just love your blog. So do I, but I've worked it out that I give Astronomy lectures to groups of (well to do) travelers, so I'm paid to travel. I've been to Australia, New Zealand, Alaska twice, Indonesia, Japan and China and all countries in between, every country in west Europe, some of west Asia. Let's see if Dave, or you, could work out an agreement like I have; you are both experts in interesting fields. -C But one more comment: I gather that you all travel as much as you have time and money for.
