Emily Prefers to Flounce

No-nonsense Emily is always ready for Adventure and Mayhem. But she has a soft side that she lets peek out, too.

This skirt is worked bottom up, in the round, initially utilizing a modified intarsia in the round technique before transitioning to traditional in-the-round construction. The lace underlayer is worked separately but is then layered & joined to the main skirt.

The four lace inset panels (two in front, two in back) are worked as intarsia.

The waist band is hemmed, using an inner layer of Gaia to decrease bulkiness.

Buttons extend from top of each inset panel to waist for the front, and at the intersection of the inset panel and main body of the skirt in the back.

The main fabric of the skirt is densely knit Stockinette stitch in DK weight Traveller yarn.
