To make twisted cord: Cut 2 strands of the main color and 2 strands of the contrasting color (each 36”). Holding all 4 strands together, make slip knots at either end. Attach one slip knot to something immovable (for example a doorknob); attach the other to a knitting needle. Keeping the yarn extended, using the needle as a handle, twist til the yarn wants to kink on itself. Holding the center of the now-twisted strands, bring both ends together, let go of the center, and let the halves twist together. Remove the slip knots and tie regular knots at either end. Trim to make small tassels.
