So — there’s exciting news with the California Revival Collection, but I can’t say any more than that. And I’m not going to be able to go into pattern details any more, at least not for the time being. But I can show some yarn p*rn….this is that gorgeous Impulse of Delight BFL I mentioned in a previous post.
And, if your interest has been piqued about the California Revival style, This Old House (on PBS) is doing a renovation of a Spanish bungalow in Silverlake (a section of Los Angeles). I only heard about it recently, and have watched the last couple episodes. It’s fascinating (at least to me, I love old houses!). I’m going to try to see it from the beginning. The most recent episode included a visit to the Adamson House.
I’m featured over at Yarn on the House for the next 2 weeks — go visit & comment for a chance to win a copy of the Zylphia Cowl and some lovely Sunflower Yarn to make it! I’m running a promotion through May 29th– get 20% off any of the patterns in my Ravelry Store — just enter the coupon code yoth. It’s good for as many patterns as you’d like to order.
Design-wise, besides the California Revival Collection, I’m still working on the Fall KC pullover in MadTosh DK. I’m almost finished with the body of the sweater.
I’m also putting together a booklet of patterns previously only available through Knitpicks: the Love You Mom socks & I Love You Dad socks, All You Need Is….mittens and the Wanna Hold Your Hands mittens. These patterns are getting a good overhaul, reformatted into InDesign, charts refined, etc. Expect to see it in the next few weeks.
I’ve been uploading patterns to Magcloud like a mad woman. I’m awaiting proofs from the last revisions, but soon, hard copies will be available. These contain a lot more graphics and photos than that normal pdfs — they’re just, um, prettier, without the issue of using your printer ink. Here’s an example of the Adamson Mitts pattern. I’m thinking of updating the pdf versions with quick & dirty black & white, no pics supplement for printing out….any comments?
Don’t forget to check out the interview with Heather and comment for a chance to win her CSI Most Wanted sock pattern ebook.
