Knitting Olympics

I joined the Yarn Harlot’s Knitting Olympics — sock team! I want to learn the 2 socks/ 2 circulars method & have ordered some more Addi’s (size 1 & 2) and am planning on using the Nature’s Palette sock yarn in Light Teal variegated (green) that I picked up at Wool & Company in Geneva IL. I haven’t decided yet on a pattern but perhaps the Veronik Avery pattern in Weekend Knitting is the one. There’s such a plethora of patterns out in blogland!

I also went ahead and joined the Scarf Style KAL since I’m working on 3 scarves from that book anyway — Lady Eleanor, Misty Garden and Vintage Velvet (the latter I may frog, I’m using some Fiesta Chinchilla silk chenille and I’m not sure if I like it — the color changes are too much for the cable).

Welcome to the Sock Team, it looks like we are both trying out the 2 socks at once circular needles thing altho’ we’re using different patterns! Good luck to you!! I’ve only finished 1 pair of adult size socks the other 340,809 pair I’ve knit were baby/child size. I love my DPNs so this circular thing has me stymied. Today I’ll be “training” by trying to master the casting on and beginning rows with waste yarn. See you at the Games!
