So I’ve been reviewing my stash and reviewing what I want to knit for 2008, and the books I have, and what type of thing I want to start next….and I’ve decided to substitute at least one Japanese sweater for a St*rmore sweater.
I’ve just about 100% decided on Herbstlied from New Style of Heirloom Knitting. This afternoon and evening I’ve been reviewing different how-to’s on Japanese knitting, symbols, pattern/chart reading, and so on, as well as looking up as many different examples of Herbstlied as I can find. I’ve also started a notebook/journal to keep track of what I’m doing, what the different symbols mean, what I have to do the pattern, etc. Dave is, so far, properly impressed.
I’ll add a list on the sidebar of the links I’ve found useful.
I’m planning on using my Jaeger Shetland Aran in a lovely sage green. I have 20 balls which should be more than enough.
