I finished Dave’s Palindrome hat this afternoon (as he labored on priming and painting our window frames — see the house blog for background info).

Malabrigo stone blue — nearly one whole skein — purchased last Friday at Twist Yarns
US 7 dpns — Knit Picks nickel-plated
The hat is wonderfully squishy and soft (exactly what you expect from Malabrigo) and the color variation is subtle enough to still be able to see the (albeit very simple) cabling. The pattern, though simple, was well-written, concise and clear — I’d recommend it for someone new to hats and/or cabling.
And I needed to just finish something.
